Must provide the wireless MAC address of the device (ONE of the following):

In Windows XP, go to Start, run, type cmd, a black box will load, type ipconfig/all into the command prompt, look for something like “Wireless LAN adapter:” or “Wireless connection:” and then look for the MAC address or “physical address.” It should be something like “00-99-00-00-AA-99.”

In Windows Vista or 7, go to Start, cmd into the search bar, a black box will load, type ipconfig/all into the command prompt, look for something like “Wireless LAN adapter:” or “Wireless connection:” and then look for the MAC address or “physical address.” It should be something like “00-99-00-00-AA-99.”

On MAC OS X, go to the Apple menu, select System Preferences, from the View menu in System Preferences, select Network, in the left column of the Network preference window that opens, click the name of your connection (e.g., Wi-Fi, AirPort). Click the Advanced button, and in the sheet that drops down, click the Hardware, AirPort tab. The address is the string of letters and numbers next to “MAC Address:”, or “AirPort ID:”. It should be something like “00-99-00-00-AA-99.”

On Android, go to Menu, Settings, About, Status, Wi-Fi Mac Address. It should be something like “00-99-00-00-AA-99.”

On Nook, go to Settings, to the 2nd page, and look for the MAC/physical address. It should be something like “00-99-00-00-AA-99.”

On Kindle, go to Settings, to Device Info, and look for the MAC/physical address. It should be something like “00-99-00-00-AA-99.”

If the above criteria are met and the policy/form has been signed, then the wireless key can be inputted by district personnel. Instruct the user to open the proper utility and attempt to connect to public. At the screen that prompts for the wireless network key, district personnel should enter this key (KEEP THIS KEY PRIVATE; DISTRICT EYES ONLY).
